The full scope of a residential project
A complete residential design runs from plan to plant pot. We start with the plan because it is the only decision that cannot be undone with money later, then build the material palette, then the lighting, then joinery and storage, then furniture and styling. Each layer is designed against the ones underneath it rather than chosen in isolation.
The output is a design package: dimensioned plans and furniture layouts, material and finish palettes, lighting schemes, joinery direction, a furniture schedule with real suppliers and sizes, and visualizations that make the intent unambiguous.

Whole homes and single rooms
A whole-home project sets one language and applies it consistently: the same timber tone in the kitchen and the bedroom, the same light temperature everywhere, a palette that resolves across every threshold.
A single-room project is not a lesser version of that. A nine-square-metre bedroom or a four-square-metre entry gets the same survey, the same planning rigour and the same specification detail — it simply has fewer walls.
Designers, not contractors or retailers
We do not build and we do not sell furniture, which means we have no reason to recommend more work or more purchases than a room needs. Our advice is paid for by you and answers only to the design.
You keep your own contractor, cabinetmaker and suppliers. We produce the direction they follow, and we stay reachable while they work.

Questions we are asked
- How does residential interior design pricing work?
- We scope each project against its size and the depth of work required, and quote a fixed fee for a defined package before anything starts. Fees are not a percentage of what you spend on furniture or construction.
- What is the difference between an interior designer and a decorator?
- Decoration deals with the surface layer — colour, furniture and soft furnishings. Interior design starts earlier, with the plan, circulation, storage volume, joinery and lighting, and treats the decorative layer as the last stage rather than the whole job.
