Bathroom Interior Design

A compact bathroom rewards restraint. Fewer materials, larger formats, better light and storage that disappears — that is usually the whole brief, and it is harder than it sounds.

Compact bathrooms

In a small bathroom, every extra material break shortens the room. We reduce the palette to two or three materials, run larger formats with fewer grout lines, and take the finish to full height where it makes the wall read as one plane.

Storage is the second problem. A vanity that hides everyday clutter, a recessed niche in the wet area and one open shelf is usually enough — anything more starts to crowd.

  • Fixture layout and clearance check
  • Wet-area and waterproofing zones marked on the design
  • Tile, stone and timber palette with grout tones
  • Vanity and niche storage design
  • Mirror, sconce and IP-rated lighting scheme
  • Ventilation and moisture-tolerant material advice

Calm rather than clinical

The Japandi bathroom direction we are known for uses warm stone, honest timber, matte finishes and light that comes from the sides rather than straight down. Skin looks better, the room feels quieter, and it ages far better than high-gloss white.
