What a makeover can actually change
More than most people expect. Layout and circulation, wall and ceiling finishes, floor coverings, all lighting, joinery and storage, window treatments, the entire furniture composition and styling. What it does not touch is anything requiring permits, structural work or moved services.
For rented apartments and condos with restrictions, this is often the only route available — and it still transforms the space.

Phasing over months, not weekends
Most of our makeover clients work in stages. We set the whole direction first so that stage one and stage four still belong to the same home, then sequence the work so the highest-impact, lowest-cost moves happen first.
Questions we are asked
- What is the difference between a makeover and a renovation?
- A makeover leaves the structure and services untouched — no permits, no trades beyond decorating and electrical fittings. A renovation moves walls, plumbing or electrics and needs a contractor and, in most California jurisdictions, permits.
- Can you do one room only?
- Yes. Single-room makeovers are a large part of our work, and small rooms especially.
